How it works

  1. Upload your art for a month

    Month by month, one slot per club. You see your ad on the billboard before you pay, so you know it reads from the street.

  2. We hold your card and review it

    Stripe holds the amount; nothing is charged yet. FBT staff check the art, usually the same day. If it needs a tweak, we tell you on Discord.

  3. You go up in lights

    Approval charges the card and starts your time. Your ad joins the rotation within minutes. We remind you 5 days before it ends.

Art that reads from the street

  • 2:1 and wide. 2048 × 1024 is ideal, 1024 × 512 the smallest. We crop from the centre if yours isn't 2:1.
  • One big name, one short line. It's on screen for 10 seconds at a time.
  • Strong contrast. Light text on dark, or the reverse.
  • Keep it inside the dashed line. The bulb frame covers a sliver.

Good to know

When does my time start?

On the billboard, when staff approve your art, not when you pay: a month runs to the same date next month (approved Nov 3, it ends Dec 3). A storefront goes up with the next world update, and its six months or year start that day, so you never pay for time it isn't up.

How do you keep it fair?

One billboard slot per club at a time, booked a month at a time. If you've had 3 months in a row and someone's on the waitlist, take a month off and book again after. Nobody waiting? Keep going.

What if it's sold out?

Join the waitlist on this page. When a slot opens, it's kept for whoever's next in line for 48 hours: you'll see it here and on your dashboard. If you don't book it in time, it passes to the next person.

What if my art isn't approved?

We tell you what to change on Discord and on your dashboard, and you upload a new version. If we can't run it at all, or don't get to it within 6 days, the hold on your card is released and you're never charged.

Who sees it?

Everyone who loads FBT Social on PC or Quest, in every instance. The ads take turns, 10 seconds each, at the same moment for everyone.

What can I advertise?

Brands, clubs, worlds, creators, DJs, shops and events. No nudity or explicit content, hate, politics, scams, gambling or crypto.

Can I renew?

Yes. We DM you on Discord 5 days before your billboard run ends; book the next month then and it carries straight on from the end. Storefronts show a renew button on your dashboard near the end, and you keep the same square.

Can an ad be taken down?

Staff can take down art that breaks the rules, without a refund. Everything else runs its full time.

Does it help my club's heat or Marquee spot?

No. Nothing in the Shop buys heat or a better spot on the Marquee. Heat comes from real head counts.

  • Art is reviewed by FBT Social before it goes up. If it needs a change we'll tell you; if we can't run it, the card hold is released and you're never charged.
  • Text should read from across the street: big, short, high contrast. Keep important bits away from the edges.
