Terms and privacy
The short version: be over 18, follow VRChat's rules, and we'll keep only what we need to run the site.
Last updated October 2026. FBT Social is an independent community project by Wreckshop Worlds. It isn't made, endorsed or run by VRChat Inc. or Discord Inc.
Terms of use
The rules for using the site and the world
Who can use FBT Social
FBT Social is for adults 18 and over. By using the site or the world you confirm you are at least 18.
VRChat's rules come first
Everything here sits on top of VRChat. You agree to follow VRChat's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and Discord's Terms of Service when you use our Discord. Where our rules and theirs differ, theirs apply.
Your account and your club
- You sign in with Discord. Keep your account secure; actions taken while signed in are yours.
- Only register and manage clubs you actually run, and only upload art you own or have permission to use.
- Staff review uploads and may decline or remove anything that breaks these terms or VRChat's guidelines.
- We may suspend or remove a club or account that breaks these terms, games the heat count or harms the community. Serious matters are handled privately.
Performers, hosts and reports
- Dancers and DJs perform for fun, and any arrangement between a performer and a host is between them. FBT Social doesn't handle payments between them and isn't a party to what they agree.
- Anyone on a night's lineup, its hosts, and people viewing a performer's page can send a private report. Reports are seen only by FBT Social staff, and we never tell anyone who reported them. A report quietly keeps the two people off the same nights in future.
- Hosts can mark a performer who didn't show up. Several no-shows in a short time pause that performer's sign-ups for a while. Giving up a spot a couple of hours ahead never counts.
- We may limit anyone's access to our own tools (signing up for spots, hosting nights, the talent directory) for as long as we see fit. That never affects your VRChat account.
- FBT Social is not a dispute service, and we don't rule on disagreements between people. Behaviour inside VRChat is VRChat's to handle: report it with VRChat's own tools. If anyone is in danger, contact local emergency services.
Heat, rankings and seasons
Heat, scores, crowns and badges are a game we run for fun and recognition. We do our best to count fairly but don't guarantee any result, and we may correct counts that were wrong or manipulated.
The service itself
FBT Social is provided as is. We work to keep it running but can't promise it will always be available or error free, and we may change or retire features. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses from using it.
Changes
We may update these terms. When the change matters, we'll post it in the Discord before it takes effect.
Payments
Ad blocks and donations, through Stripe
All payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment.
Homepage ad blocks
- A block is a one-time payment for the current week. Every block ends at the weekly reset, Sunday at noon US Eastern; nothing renews automatically.
- Space is first come, first served, with a limit on how many squares one account can hold each week. Bought mid-week, a block costs only the days left.
- Club and event ads go live once paid. Custom ads (your own image, text and link) are reviewed by staff first: at checkout your card is only authorised, and it's charged when the ad is approved. If we ask for changes, your space is held while you revise it. If it isn't approved before the week ends, the authorisation is released and you're not charged.
- Blocks are marked Sponsored and must follow these terms. If we take one down for breaking them, it isn't refunded. If we take one down for any other reason, we refund the unused part of the week.
- A block never adds heat, rank or any advantage on FBT Social.
This month's cause
- Charity gifts are made on Tiltify and go directly to the charity named on the Shop page. FBT Social never receives, holds or handles that money, and Tiltify's own terms and receipts apply.
Supporting the developer (closed)
- The Dev Fund closed on October 17, 2026 and no longer takes gifts. Past gifts were voluntary, one-time and not refundable, except where the law requires.
- The thank-you add-on for past supporters is a gift, sent by hand when it's ready. It isn't a purchase and its timing isn't guaranteed.

Privacy
What we keep, and why
What we collect
- From Discord, when you sign in: your Discord ID, username and avatar. Our Discord bot also tells the site which roles you hold in our server, like Verified or staff. We never get your email, password or messages.
- About clubs: the details reps enter (name, tagline, links, art), the linked VRChat group's ID and its public member count.
- Crowd counts: how many people are in FBT Social rooms and tracked club rooms, sampled every few minutes, and the room's queue length when it's full. We count heads; we don't record who was in a room.
- Performers: the VRChat profile you link and whether your account is 18+ age verified, as VRChat shows it. If you're listed in The Talent, your VRChat name, what you perform, your line, and the nights and clubs you've performed at are public. You can hide your listing any time on My dashboard. Your Discord profile is only linked if you switch that on.
- Creator share links: when someone opens a Press Pass holder's link (fbtsocial.com/c/…), we count one visit per person per day for that link. To tell people apart we keep only a scrambled code made from the day, the link, your IP address and your browser with a secret key. We never store your IP address, and the code can't be matched across days or links. Bots and link previews aren't counted. These counts only feed the Top creators board and the Clip of the week shortlist, never a club's heat. Old counts are deleted after about four months.
- The #FBTSocial wall: public TikTok and Instagram posts that people send us, with who sent them and which club they name. They're shown on our homepage as cards that link to the post; Press Pass holders' posts go up straight away and everyone else's after staff approve them. For TikTok posts we read the post's public caption, author and cover from TikTok, and your browser loads that cover from TikTok. If you press play on a TikTok clip, TikTok's own player loads from TikTok and TikTok's privacy policy applies to it; nothing from TikTok loads until you press play. Only send posts you made yourself. You can remove your own posts on My dashboard, and staff can take any post down.
- Reports: who sent a report, who it's about, the reason, the night and any note. Only staff can read them, and they're never shown to the person reported.
- Purchases: from Stripe, your customer ID, what you bought, the amount and its status. For donations, the name, email and note you give at checkout, so we can send your thank-you.
How we use it
To run the site and the world: show clubs and nights, score heat, check eligibility, deliver what you paid for, keep things safe and answer you. We don't sell your information, and the site has no advertising trackers.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser also remembers small things, like whether you've already seen the opening curtain.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run FBT Social: our hosting and database provider, Discord for sign-in and the bot, and Stripe for payments.
Your choices
You can ask us to show or delete what we hold about you by messaging staff in the Discord. Payment records Stripe must keep for tax and fraud reasons stay with Stripe. Public club pages and season history may keep the club's name and results.
